I feel ILL!

He's come home and said that the technician (who admitted she is not a Dr) has said his liver is inflamed and the wrong colour.

He will have to be refered for more tests and possibly a biospy.

I have been really trying to hold myself together but I am scared.

He sees the GP later for a chat regarding the thyroxine and also his painful back which needs an x ray.

Please keep us in your prayers and he is my whole life.

Love,
Amanda

Hi Amanda
as just a techician this woman had no right to say any-thing to Mark it should of been left to the doctor
when he see's his GP later he will know more
please try not to worry I know that is easy for me to say
but you do need to know the proper results first then you both will know where you stand
keep strong
you both are in my prayers

hi Amanda,
So sorry Mark got this from the technician.
Just hang on in there until he sees the doc this afternoon and hopefully will get a better explanation.
Thinking of you,

Hi Amanda,

I`m surprised the technician said anything - not her place.Try and hang in there love, things will probably be clearer after Mark has seen the GP.It`s no good me telling you not to worry, as you will anyway.

Lots of prayers going up for you and for Mark, for as long as you need them.

Take care,

Kathleen x

HI Amanda

I'm sorry this has given you extra worry, I hope your GP will be able to put your mind at rest.

Hi Amanda,

Hope Mark has had some advice from GP. Can't believe what the technician said - I thought it was policy not to say anything? Still thinking of you both - please let us know.

Amanda, I can only repeat what the others have said. Try not to worry too much until the GP can explain things to you.

Hi,

Mark has seen the GP, although it was my usual one and not the one who refered him. He has told M that is *sounds* like fatty liver disease but they will know more when they see the scan. he said although the thyroid pills have helped, the many problems he has will not go until the liver problems are brought under control.

He will need to loose alot of weight but if that's all the treatment is , that;s a relief!

He's going for more bloods tomorrow as the liver ones were SO off range plus he's added a few more because of the additional back pain.

Phew! He's taken Ben to cadets and we need to do bedtime etc and then we can talk about it all.

Thank you for being here, I am still shaky inside.
Love,
Amanda

Dear Amanda,

This sounds a bit more reassuring. Why is it when you get one thing it always seems like a chain reaction and leads to another? Happens to all the nicest people too. Hope that you manage to have a reassuring chat between the two of you.

Take care,

Eleanor x

Oh Amanda

When I first started to read and read your first post of what the technician told him I got worried. Scrolled down and saw your post about what the GP had told him and what a relief!!!!

The technician who is not qualified should not of given her opinion, it has caused you both so much unnecessary worry.

Hope you are feeling a little calmer now.

Sending you all love and hugs.

Hi Amanda,

Just read through the post and followed threads, daft technician should never had said this, and can sense your relief at hearing a probable diagnosis of fatty liver, something I have been diagnosed with too, but did not have prior to taking RA meds. Like Mark I too have been told to lose weight and unfortunately to cut down on the wine too Mad!!!

Love,

Barbara
